Registered Nurse, ICU Night – $20,000 Sign‑on Bonus
The successful candidate will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document the care of critically ill medical and surgical adolescents and adults. They will provide acute care per established protocols, assist with special procedures, and direct the care delivered by patient care partners and other health‑care team members. The nurse will collaborate with physicians to evaluate patient readiness for changes in level of care, provide care for medical‑surgical and telemetry patients as needed, recover MAC local patients when PACU is not open, interpret and operate cardiac and other invasive and non-invasive monitors, recognize normal and abnormal rhythms and trends to initiate appropriate interventions, and provide care for patients with complex needs including hemodynamically compromised and mechanically ventilated patients.
The nurse will initiate and maintain complex IV therapy, including thrombolytic administration, vasoactive medications, central IV catheters, dialysis catheters, and arterial lines. Safe use of less invasive, life‑supporting modalities will also be performed (e.g., BiPAP, ETCO₂, arterial pressure‑based CO/CI and SVO₂ monitoring, core temperature monitoring).
- Critical Care and Telemetry experience
- Current Illinois RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Oncology Credentials Network (OCN) certification within 18 months of hire or 36 total continuing education credits in oncology every Commission of Cancer cycle of three years, with completion of 12 CE per year (Surgical services exempt)
