Exterior Services Technician, DOT Operator - DS

Position Summary

As an Exterior Services Technician – DOT Operator at Walmart, you will oversee landscape projects and collaborate with a dedicated team to maintain the grounds year‑round. Your duties include mowing, trimming, pruning, and managing specialty equipment to keep parking lots, exterior buildings, and surrounding areas clean and safe.

• Conduct grounds maintenance activities in parking lots, exterior buildings, and surrounding areas to uphold cleanliness standards.
• Operate specialised equipment and vehicles to complete tasks efficiently.
• Work alongside fellow associates to manage all aspects of landscaping and exterior maintenance.
• Adhere to stringent safety, security, and integrity protocols, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements at local, federal, and state levels.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines.
• Evaluate landscaping needs and implement sustainable upgrades.

• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to successfully complete a DOT physical and secure medical certification with a 90‑day card.
• No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last three years.
• No more than two moving violations in the last three years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
• No serious traffic violations or preventable accidents as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations in the last three years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
• Compliance with section 391.11(b)(2) of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, including ability to read and speak English.

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maintenance, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Certified Facilities Manager (CFM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or related certification.
• Experience in third‑party facility management.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 – $35.00, depending on experience, qualifications, and other factors. Premiums may be paid based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Additional benefits and incentives support a comprehensive compensation package.
