Zionsville Community High School is seeking applicants for aCustomized Learning Program Teacher. This non-traditional teaching position will begin October 19, 2026.
License RequirementsIndiana Teaching license required

Brief Program DescriptionThe customized learning program provides all students with a challenging and flexible learning environment. The program staff promotes a safe, orderly, caring, and supportive learning environment.
The program will cater to the individual differences and learning needs of each student participant. Each student will be held to high expectations. The Customized learning environment encourages each student to explore career and personal goals. Students will understand the social and emotional skills needed to be successful. The program develops a positive rapport with students and helps students practice their communication, problem solving, and decision making skills.
Active involvement of parents, teachers, guidance counselors, community members, and local business will be essential to the support of each student's development and success. The Customized Education program will provide opportunities for parents and community members to be actively involved in each student's development in the program
- o Monday student planning
- o Daily student attendance
- o Hourly student checks
- o Weekly Progress reports emailed to parents and CLP Director
- o Quarterly Zoom Parent Teacher conferences with parents and CLP Director
- o Monthly Lesson plans submitted to CLP Director
- o Create and Monitor Individual Service Plans (ISP) for each CLP student
- o Live instruction using the CLP curriculum 2 times per week for 50 minutes

- o Work with CLP Director, Business Department Chair, and Business teachers in helping students with business pathways
- o Attend CLP field trips: 4 yr/2yr colleges, job sites, trade schools, job shadows, and community service activities.
- o Certified Minibus or ability to become certified
- o Monitor Edmentum Courses for classes not taught by a live instructor
- o Virtual student zoom check-ins when necessary(on a need to basis)
- o Attend Student and Family Orientation meetings for new students
- o Monitor individual high school student progress towards graduation
- o Monitor middle school student progress towards the completion of their Edmentum course work
- o Attend Weekly Non-traditional team meetings with the CLP Director
- o Attend Monthly Indiana Department of Education Alternative Ed meetings
- o Attend Monthly ZCHS Professional Learning Sessions
- o Work with CLP Director in planning extended experiences for CLP students
- o Comply with all ZCS acceptable communication guidelines and procedures in the ZCS handbook
