The Roche Support Network is dedicated to providing exceptional support to customers. As a Field Engineering Specialist:

• Travel to customer sites and showcase expertise in technical repair and installation for Roche assigned product lines.
• Offer valuable service to laboratory customers in the assigned territory.
• Provide routine technical support, on-site service, repair, and installation of Roche products.
• Serve as a customer contact for technical and service-related issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures.
• Document all activities, contribute to quality improvement, and focus on maximizing customer satisfaction.

This is a field-based role and you will provide primary support for the greater Jacksonville area and secondary support throughout Northern Florida and Southern Georgia. Ideally, you reside within 30 miles of Jacksonville.

Estimated up to 30% overnight travel, as needed, including to the corporate headquarters in Indianapolis.

• High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or work experience; 5 years of progressive experience in repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking is necessary.
• OR a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field, plus 1-2 years of progressive experience repairing or servicing complex mechanical, system hardware and software, or networking, or wireless networking.
• Successful completion of training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy.
• Ability to travel, including overnight travel, is a requirement for this role.
• Provide support after hours, on weekends and holidays as required.
• Possess strong customer service skills to ensure positive customer relationships.

• 8+ years of progressive experience, OR a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field with 4+ years of progressive experience.
• Some IT experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, and information technology.
• Ability to serve as an internal technical resource that can train and mentor other Field Engineering Specialists in the region.

The expected salary range for this position, based on the primary location in Florida, is $71,000 - $132,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
