Claims Processor

Responsibilities

• The In-Force Claims Processor is responsible for reviewing and processing death claim transactions on annuity contracts.
• Setting up the initial claim notification.
• Learning, retaining, and updating knowledge of a wide variety of financial product information and internal processes and procedures, while adhering to strict financial industry rules and regulations.
• Assist with processing other types of Annuity In-Force transactions as needed.
• Provide information regarding contract values, request status updates, withdrawals, fund performance, outstanding requirements, and any other transaction related to Annuity In-Force.
• Support both Agent/Advisors and Clients with all Annuity In-Force requests via phone and email.
• Communicating requirements, settlement options and claim status with beneficiaries, agents, attorneys and clients.
• Processing and approving claim payments, generating settlement confirmation letters and tracking all claim settlements.
• Assist in special projects as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of operational/claims or processing experience or a combination is preferred.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and experience working in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of the annuity market, with specific focus on the fixed, fixed indexed and variable annuities.
