Nurse Manager – Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) About the Role
Networks Connect is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager
, on behalf of our client, to lead clinical operations at a high-quality Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). This role oversees all clinical functions and provides hands‑on leadership to a highly tenured nursing and surgical team in a patient‑first, outpatient environment
.
This ASC focuses on same‑day surgical procedures only
. There are no overnight patients and no high‑acuity cases such as heart, brain, or spine surgeries. Common specialties include orthopedics, general surgery, and other outpatient procedures
.
This is a plug‑and‑play leadership role for a Nurse Manager who is confident, organized, and ready to step into an established team with minimal ramp‑up.
What You’ll Do- Lead and oversee all clinical operations of the Ambulatory Surgery Center
- Supervise and support a multidisciplinary clinical team (RNs, surgical techs, sterile processing staff)
- Ensure safe, efficient patient care from admission through same‑day discharge
- Maintain compliance with accreditation, regulatory, and infection control standards
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and clinical workflows
- Serve as the clinical leader during emergencies until physician arrival
- Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia, vendors, and leadership
- Support cost containment, inventory management, and preference cards
- Foster a professional, respectful, and team‑oriented culture
- Active RN license (ASN or BSN from an accredited program)
- 3–5 years of operating room (OR) or surgical experience
- 2+ years of nursing leadership or management experience
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS certification (or ability to obtain quickly)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) experience
- Experience leading a tenured or diverse clinical team
- Strong understanding of outpatient surgical workflows
- Monday–Friday, daytime hours
- Typically 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (with flexibility as needed)
- Outpatient setting with predictable schedules and stable workflows
- Patient‑first culture in a smaller, more personal surgical environment
- No inpatient or overnight care
- Strong leadership visibility and autonomy
- Stable, experienced team with long tenure
