A Westwood Sales Manager is responsible for guiding couples & corporate/social clients through the pre-booking process, particularly by performing in-depth venue tours and conducting post-tour follow-ups to best connect our company with the correct clients.

A successful person in this role will have the insightful ability to connect with prospective clients on a high level while also genuinely taking time to learn and care for the client and the details of their event, and effectively guide them to the best fit for an event date at our venue.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Interaction:
    Communicate with potential and existing clients, providing venue tours, answering questions, and presenting event date & pricing options.
  • Venue Knowledge:
    Possess a thorough understanding of the venue's layout, amenities, and services to effectively present the venue to clients.
  • Follow-Up:
    Maintain contact and effective communication with clients throughout the post-tour process through their booking, to ensure a positive experience.
  • Sales & Industry Insight:
    Actively stay aware of existing event-industry information and new business trends, along with continually learning about our sales process and your own strengths & opportunities to convert as many leads into bookings as possible.
  • Customer Service:
    Provide excellent customer service, addressing client concerns and feedback.
  • Teamwork:
    Collaborate with fellow Sales Team members as well as other departments, such as event management and marketing, to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Reporting:
    Use company-provided tools to track personal sales activity, measure success, and provide regular reports to the Director of Sales.
  • OPTIONAL Event Coordination:
    Sales Managers have the ability, if interested, to also function as a Venue Manager on event days to assist clients & vendors in day‑of event execution.
Schedule:
  • Full time, 40 hours a week role.
  • This position will have a semi‑set and semi‑flexible schedule; client tours normally happen in the afternoon & evenings on weekdays and on weekends as the venue event schedule allows.
  • Our team often performs Open Houses and other client‑facing gatherings at the venue, in addition to attending off‑site bridal shows, networking events, and educational seminars, and the preference would be for a Sales Manager to attend some or all of these opportunities.

    Skills:

    Strong ability to close deals and help guide prospective bookings to understand all of their options for dates & services.
  • Communication

    Skills:

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and vendors.
  • Customer Service

    Skills:

    Ability to provide excellent customer service and address client questions & concerns.
  • Event Planning Knowledge:
    Understanding of event planning processes, including timelines, logistics, and vendor management.
  • Organization & Time Management:
    Ability to manage multiple leads, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Problem‑Solving

    Skills:

    Ability to identify and resolve questions and issues that may arise during the booking process.
  • Positive Attitude & Professional Demeanor:
    Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Computer Proficiency:
    Experience with CRM systems, event management software, and Google Teams resources is ideal
