Job Description
As a Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for executing Direct Procurement Operations activities and managing supplier relationships. You will work closely with Category Management and internal stakeholders to ensure procurement processes are efficient, compliant, and value-driven. This role requires strong procurement expertise, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to manage contracts and supplier performance. You will contribute to cost savings, continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure high levels of internal customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Execute procurement requests in line with category guidance and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand procurement needs and translate them into actionable specifications.
- Apply sourcing methodologies and tools (e.g., eSourcing, eAuction).
- Manage supplier performance and support contract negotiations and documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
- Maintain procurement documentation and ensure compliance with policies.
- Communicate procurement status and outcomes to relevant stakeholders.
- Support Category Management with feedback and data.
- University degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of procurement experience, including contracting and enterprise systems (SAP).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in sourcing within technical fields (electronics, mechanics).
- Proficiency in procurement tools and documentation processes.
- Fluent in English and German (minimum B2).
- Team-oriented mindset and customer service focus.
- Postgraduate business-related qualification.
- Strategic sourcing or cost reduction experience.
- Operational excellence or continuous improvement background.
- Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry or regulated environments is highly desirable.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, ISM).
- Experience with procure-to-pay and eSourcing tools.
- Knowledge of chemicals, adhesives, hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
