Commercial Manager Biomethane - Compliance Markets

For a leading and expanding commodity trading company in Zug, Switzerland.

• Execute active trading of biomethane across European markets (spot and term), including pricing, structuring, and deal closure.
• Develop and nurture relationships with compliance buyers in energy, fuels, and chemicals markets.
• Work closely with the Head of Supply & Trading to further develop the existing contract and supply portfolio for subsidized and non-subsidized biomethane.
• Monitor and analyze market trends to identify arbitrage opportunities and optimize trading strategies.
• Coordinate with internal functions to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
• Own the P&L for the biomethane trading book, delivering measurable financial performance.

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Business Information Systems, Banking, Sustainability, Commodity Trading or related field.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in physical commodity sourcing and trading, preferably in regulatory, certificate-driven biofuels markets, with significant biomethane experience.
• Well-established network across European biomethane markets, especially with compliance buyers.
• Deep knowledge of certification systems (ISCC, REDcert) and of European and national regulatory frameworks for commercialization.
• Strong experience in risk management, hedging and complex contract structures.
• High resilience under pressure, fast decision-making and strong commercial instincts.
• Fluent English (written and spoken);
