Strategic Pricing Analyst – Surgery
We are seeking a Strategic Pricing Analyst to join our commercial team. This role anchors Johnson & Johnson’s go-to-market strategy, emphasizing long-term partnerships, market trends, and customer needs.
Roles & Responsibilities- Report to the Commercial Lead of the Swiss Surgery organization and collaborate closely with Strategic Account Management, Operational Pricing, Sales, and Marketing teams.
- Coordinate and support the proposal development process with the Strategic Account Management and clinical team, presenting opportunities and risks to management.
- Develop data‑driven pricing strategies to maximize profitability and competitiveness.
- Prepare new product launches, go-to-market models, and portfolio segmentations with the Marketing Team.
- Coordinate regular reviews of departmental pricing analysis reports and submit results to Management for review and subsequent directives.
- Analyze current pricing models and structures, identify efficiencies, and design testing for new tools to support the local sales force.
- Provide recommendations on alternate pricing models for key customers to secure business.
- Assess and track pricing key performance measures and conduct ad hoc analysis to meet pricing goals.
- Serve as direct link to the EMEA Pricing Team.
- Apply Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in daily interactions.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field with several years of pricing experience.
- Strong understanding of P&L, margin analysis, cost structures, and price-demand relationships.
- Experience in contracting and deal structuring a plus.
- Analytical, strategic thinker with solid business acumen.
- Project management capabilities and ability to lead complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
- Strong team spirit and collaborative mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication:
German (required) and English (strong, both written and spoken). Proficiency in a second official language preferred. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), Power BI, and other financial analysis tools; programming skills are an asset; ERP (e.g., SAP S4/H) knowledge is a plus.
