Strategic Pricing Analyst- Johnson & Johnson
Are you passionate about making a tangible difference in healthcare? We are seeking a Strategic Pricing Analyst to join our commercial team. This role anchors Johnson & Johnson’s go‑to‑market strategy, emphasizing long‑term partnerships, market trends and customer needs. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to advance pricing strategies and new business models, evaluate pricing proposals, and provide guidance on organizational standards related to product performance.

Strategic Pricing is an essential part of the future business strategy for the Johnson & Johnson companies. It influences how we will go to market as a Surgery organization and will be critical to our future growth plans. This approach aligns customer expectations with business objectives with the aim to demonstrate the long‑term value of partnership and working with Johnson & Johnson, most importantly, our impact on patient care.
- Report to the Commercial Lead of the Swiss Surgery organization and collaborate with Strategic Account Management, Operational Pricing, Sales Organization and Marketing Team.
- Coordinate and support the proposal development process with Strategic Account Management and clinical team, presenting opportunities and risks along with their implications to the required levels of management.
- Develop data‑driven pricing strategies to maximize profitability and competitiveness.
- In collaboration with the Marketing Team, prepare new product launches, go‑to‑market models and potential portfolio segmentations.
- Coordinate regular reviews of departmental pricing analysis reports with Surgery Leadership Team and submit results on a timely basis to Management for review and subsequent directives.
- Analyse current pricing models and structures with Operational Pricing Team to identify areas for improvement, define local price‑volume guidance and lead the design and testing of new tools to support the local sales force.
- Provide recommendations on alternate pricing models to Management to secure key customer business.
- Assess and track pricing key performance measures as well as ad‑hoc analysis and reporting to measure against pricing goals and targets.
- Serve as the direct link to the EMEA Pricing Team.
- Apply Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day‑to‑day interactions.
Academic or financial background, ideally supported by a Master’s degree in Business Administration with several years of experience in pricing or a comparable role. Strong understanding of profit and loss statements, margin analysis, cost structures, and price‑demand relationships. Experience in contracting and deal structuring is a plus.
- Analytical and strategic thinker with solid business acumen.
- Project management capabilities with the ability to lead complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
- Strong team spirit and collaborative mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in German; strong English skills (written and spoken) required; proficiency in a second official language preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience using Power BI and other financial analysis tools; programming skills are an asset; ERP (S4/H) knowledge is a plus.
