RBI’s Global Commodities & Intelligence Centre of Excellence

RBI is strengthening its global procurement organization by establishing a Global Commodities & Intelligence Centre of Excellence (CoE).

The CoE will provide commodity intelligence, data, risk management, and commercial decision support to procurement teams across RBI’s brands and markets. It will act as the analytical backbone of the global procurement function, helping regional teams make faster, data-driven sourcing and negotiation decisions.

Our Opportunity

The Sr. Manager, Global Commodity Management & Analytics will help build and manage the CoE’s commodity intelligence, data, risk management, and negotiation support capabilities.

This is a newly created global role for a commercially minded commodity professional with strong market knowledge, advanced analytical skills, and an interest in using AI and data to improve procurement decisions.

The role will focus primarily on the following direct commodity categories:

Sugar, Wheat, Soy, Corn, Pork, Beef, Chicken, Paperboard, Potatoes

The CoE will own market intelligence, forecasting, cost modelling, risk reporting, and upstream negotiation support for these categories.

The role will also provide advisory intelligence and risk support for selected indirect categories, including metals, steel, engineering, energy, MRO, and industrial gases.

The CoE will support or lead negotiations for upstream raw materials, depending on the category and market. This may include raw meat cuts, agricultural commodities, and packaging feed stocks.

RBI follows a 5 day, in-office work schedule to support collaboration. Candidates should be comfortable working onsite 5 days per week.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Build and continuously improve commodity intelligence tools, including price forecasting models, market monitoring, risk dashboards, and scenario-planning frameworks.
  • Conduct market research across the direct commodity portfolio, covering supply and demand, weather, crop conditions, geopolitics, trade flows, currency movements, and market pricing.
  • Develop global should-cost models and cost benchmarks to validate supplier pricing and support evidence-based sourcing and negotiation decisions.
  • Support RBI’s commodity risk management strategy, including forward-buying programms, index-linked contracts, hedging considerations, and spot, forward, and long-term supply arrangements.
  • Prepare negotiation strategies, cost models, and commercial materials for upstream commodities, supporting negotiations and gradually taking ownership of selected categories.
  • Lead contingency and risk-management activities, including supply-chain stress testing, scenario modelling, inventory analysis, business continuity assessments, and risk reporting.
  • Manage commodity data, external intelligence providers, and system integrations, ensuring reliable data is available across procurement, finance, and supply-chain teams.
