Client Accountant
Location: Zug, Switzerland
Department: Corporate and Legal Solutions
Job Type: Permanent, Hybrid after probation
Hours: 40 hours per week (80‑100%), Monday to Friday
Responsibilities- Act as the interface to the accounting team as a subject matter expert in accounting, tax and payroll administration.
- Independently manage financial administration for client companies in Switzerland.
- Prepare and review financial statements and handle taxes, VAT, and payroll for clients.
- Manage the closing process and create financial reports in line with Swiss Code of Obligations (SCO).
- Prepare and review reporting packages and cash‑flow statements according to Swiss CO (IFRS & US GAAP).
- Provide guidance on transition calculations from US GAAP/IFRS to SCO.
- Collaborate closely with legal and tax advisors to ensure compliance with local legislation and corporate policies.
- Support team heads and related members in complex issues and projects beyond fiduciary services, such as cross‑departmental initiatives.
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
- Stay aware of developments within client structures to identify possible commercial opportunities.
- Participate in incorporation, restructuring and liquidation projects.
- Possibility to take on the role of administrative board member / managing officer for Swiss client mandates.
- Swiss federal diploma in Accounting/Fiduciary or Fiduciary Expert.
- Proven 5–8 years of experience in Switzerland and knowledge of all aspects of the financial statements and closing process.
- Strong knowledge of SCO.
- Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP; able to prepare IFRS‑based financial statements and transition calculations to SCO.
- Fluent in English and German (spoken, written, and report writing); knowledge of French is an advantage.
- Proficient in IT tools such as MS Office, Abacus, SAP, Viewpoint, and Dr. Tax.
