Financial Manager
This position is responsible for steering financial planning and performance management across the group. The role encompasses full oversight of profitability and working capital, while driving forecasting accuracy, financial transparency, and decision support. In addition, the function plays a key role in risk governance and provides high‑quality financial insights to senior leadership and board‑level stakeholders.
Client DetailsOur client is an internationally operating organisation with activities across multiple markets and business areas. The company is focused on driving operational performance, strengthening its financial processes, and supporting sustainable growth through continuous improvement and transformation initiatives. As part of this development, the finance function is being further enhanced with a senior FP&A leadership role at group level.
Description- Coordinate and drive group‑wide planning cycles, including budgeting, forecasting, and target definition
- Deliver periodic financial reporting to executive leadership and board members, translating data into clear business insights
- Ensure end‑to‑end visibility of financial performance, including key value drivers across the income statement
- Oversee cost management for central functions such as IT, HR, Finance, Sales, and R&D
- Manage profitability frameworks, including allocation logic and margin transparency
- Define and govern pricing structures, costing methodologies, and commercial finance practices
- Track performance and financial impact of strategic and operational initiatives
- Maintain and align transfer pricing frameworks across the organisation
- Lead the enterprise risk management process and ensure structured reporting to governance bodies
- Enhance reporting capabilities through digital tools and analytics platforms (e.g., BI solutions, planning systems)
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across finance, commercial, and operational leadership
- Academic background in finance, economics, or a related discipline; additional qualifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, MBA) are advantageous
- Several years of relevant experience in financial planning, controlling, or commercial finance within an international environment
- Proven track record in managing financial performance and engaging with senior stakeholders
- Strong expertise in forecasting, financial modelling, and data‑driven analysis
- Hands‑on experience with ERP and analytics tools (e.g., SAP environment, BI platforms, planning solutions)
- Professional fluency in English; additional language skills are beneficial
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders constructively
- Ability to translate complex financial information into actionable insights for senior audiences
- Collaborative leadership style with experience in cross‑functional environments
- Structured, proactive, and capable of navigating evolving organisational contexts
- Strong focus on performance improvement and strategic impact
