Portfolio Manager – Futures | Switzerland

Our client is a leading proprietary trading firm specialising in systematic strategies across global markets. With established offices in Zug, Chicago, New York, and Dubai, the firm is continuing its international expansion and is currently building out a new London office.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to take full ownership of the research, development, and management of systematic trading strategies across CME futures markets.

This role is focused on intraday to short-term strategies, with typical holding periods ranging from same-day trading to five days. You will combine strong quantitative research capabilities with commercial trading acumen to generate and scale profitable alpha.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and entrepreneurial trader who has a demonstrable track record of success in systematic futures trading.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy systematic trading strategies across CME futures markets
  • Build and optimise quantitative models using Python or C++
  • Manage portfolio construction, risk, and capital allocation
  • Analyse large real-time and historical datasets to identify and enhance alpha opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with research and technology teams to improve trading infrastructure and execution capabilities
  • Continuously monitor and refine strategy performance to maximise risk-adjusted returns
Requirements
  • Strong quantitative background gained within a proprietary trading firm, hedge fund, or family office
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience trading CME futures
  • Advanced programming skills in Python and/or C++
  • Proven and verifiable track record of profitable trading performance
  • Demonstrated Sharpe Ratio of 3.0+ over a 12-month period
  • Deep understanding of systematic strategy development, portfolio management, and risk controls
  • Ability to operate independently while contributing within a collaborative research environment
