Job Description About the Role
The Investment Professional supports the integration and implementation of Constanter’s responsible investment (RI) approach across a diversified, multi‑asset endowment portfolio.
Working closely with the Head of Responsible Investment and investment teams, the role contributes analytical support across ESG integration, manager due diligence, stewardship activities, and impact assessment. The position is well‑suited to a candidate with 2-3 years of experience who is looking to deepen their expertise in sustainable and responsible investing within an asset‑owner context.
This role offers exposure across asset classes—particularly private markets, infrastructure, and real assets—and the opportunity to develop strong ESG, analytical, and stakeholder‑engagement skills in a purpose‑driven organisation.
Key Responsibilities 1. Responsible Investment Strategy Support- Support the development and ongoing implementation of Constanter’s responsible investment framework across asset classes.
- Assist in embedding Constanter’s mission of enhancing human dignity in harmony with the environment into investment processes and portfolio discussions.
- Contribute research and analysis on thematic focus areas (e.g. climate, inclusion, human rights).
- Support ESG assessments of public market managers and strategies.
- Analyse ESG data, reports, and third‑party metrics to identify material risks and opportunities.
- Assist with monitoring exposure to key sustainability themes (e.g. climate transition, supply‑chain risks).
- Support ESG and responsible investment due diligence on private market managers.
- Review GP ESG policies, governance practices, and reporting.
- Assist in assessing alignment with Constanter’s values and mission.
- Support ESG risk and opportunity analysis for infrastructure and real asset investments.
- Contribute to climate, environmental, and social assessments during due diligence.
- Assist in monitoring ESG performance of underlying assets and operators.
- Assist with impact measurement and reporting for mission‑aligned and impact strategies.
- Help compile ESG and impact reporting for internal stakeholders and governance bodies.
- Support data collection, quality checks, and documentation related to ESG and impact metrics.
- Support stewardship activities, including monitoring manager engagement on ESG issues.
- Assist with external manager dialogue on responsible investment expectations and reporting.
- Contribute research to inform engagement priorities.
- 2-3 years of experience in responsible investment, ESG analysis, sustainable finance, impact investing, or a related field.
- Foundational understanding of ESG issues across public and private markets.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to work with qualitative and quantitative ESG data.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Genuine interest in human dignity, environmental sustainability, and long‑term stewardship.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in a relevant academic field.
- Experience in an asset manager, asset owner, consulting firm, foundation, or development finance institution.
- Familiarity with ESG and impact frameworks.
- Exposure to private markets or real assets.
- Progress toward or interest in professional qualifications (e.g. CFA, CFA ESG Certificate, PRI Academy courses).
