Key Responsibilities
  • Originate, price, structure, and execute physical LNG trades across spot and short‑to medium‑term markets.
  • Optimise LNG portfolio positioning by integrating market fundamentals, contractual optionality, and cross‑basin price dynamics to maximise risk‑adjusted returns.
  • Contribute directly to the build‑out and continuity of the firm’s LNG trading portfolio, including integration with existing global trading activities.
Market Analysis & Trade Generation
  • Analyse global LNG fundamentals, including liquefaction supply, demand centres, shipping constraints, storage, and intra‑and inter‑regional arbitrage dynamics.
  • Maintain deep, working knowledge of Global gas and LNG markets.
  • Generate trade ideas grounded in market dislocations, structural optionality, and relative value across Atlantic and Pacific basins.
Candidate Profile & Required Expertise

This role requires specialised LNG trading experience that combines physical execution capability, cross‑basin market knowledge, and direct risk ownership.

Required Experience and Capabilities
  • Extensive experience in physical LNG trading or optimisation‑driven LNG portfolio roles, with direct responsibility for pricing, execution, and risk management.
  • Demonstrated expertise across the LNG value chain, including liquefaction, shipping, storage, regasification, and downstream gas markets.
  • Proven experience managing live cargo exposure and complex LNG contract structures.
  • Deep understanding of LNG pricing mechanisms and indices, including JKM, TTF, and related European gas benchmarks.
  • Prior hands‑on experience trading/analysing LNG into or within European markets with an understanding of the relating dynamics of Asian and US LNG markets.
  • Familiarity with optimisation‑driven or asset‑linked LNG portfolios spanning the U.S., Europe, and APAC.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.
