Position: Global Project Manager (Assay Development)

For one of our clients, a leading international healthcare and diagnostics company based in Rotkreuz, we are looking for a Global Project Manager (Assay Development) (m/f/d) to join a high-impact product development organization responsible for delivering innovative diagnostic solutions to healthcare professionals worldwide.

Within this environment, Project Management serves as a critical capability, enabling teams to deliver value efficiently while ensuring alignment across research, development, software engineering, portfolio management, and commercial organizations.

As a Global Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading projects throughout the entire product lifecycle, from concept initiation through development and implementation. You will establish governance structures, coordinate timelines and resources, manage risks and budgets, facilitate milestone reviews, and ensure transparent communication across all stakeholders.

We are looking for an experienced project management professional with a strong background in Assay Development and Software Engineering
. The ideal candidate combines scientific understanding with structured project leadership and brings proven experience operating in both Agile (SAFe) and Waterfall environments.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and implement project structures for product development and product care activities.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor integrated project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Ensure alignment across scientific, software engineering, and functional teams.
  • Coordinate project activities from concept development through completion.
  • Facilitate milestone reviews, governance meetings, and decision‑making processes.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies, and bottlenecks.
  • Conduct critical path analyses and scenario planning to support effective decision‑making.
  • Support budget planning, cost control, and supporting learning activities for future projects.
  • Provide transparent and timely project reporting to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to project teams and functional partners.
Agile & Continuous Improvement
  • Select, implement, and coach teams on appropriate project methodologies.
  • Support Agile delivery practices within SAFe and Hybrid environments.
  • Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration and organizational alignment.
  • Define, track, and report project KPIs, OKRs, and performance metrics.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across project management practices.
  • Share best practices, lessons learned, and project management standards across teams.
  • Support portfolio‑level planning, prioritization, and strategic decision‑making activities.
Your Profile
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Diagnostics, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of project management experience within product development, R&D, diagnostics, medical devices, healthcare technology, or related industries.
