Clinical Support Specialist

Clinical Support Specialist – Electrophysiology (CSS) at Johnson & Johnson Med Tech provides expert technical and product advice and training to physicians, EP lab staff, technicians, and administrators regarding J&J systems and catheter equipment.

• The main duty is providing support during electrophysiology interventions at hospital for the use of J&J Med Tech EP 3D Navigation system (CARTO
  3) and other J&J Med Tech EP mapping and ablation technologies.
• Seek sales opportunities and drive business objectives within the defined territory and accounts in partnership with Territory Sales Manager or Account Manager.
• Support the achievement of predefined business goals.
• Assist customers using consultative selling techniques to identify potential sales opportunities within the account.
• Ensure servicing, maintenance, repair, and coordination of all sites and upgrades of soft‑ and hardware with the European Technical team.
• Create awareness of J&J Med Tech EP solutions and facilitate contact between the Area Manager, Account Manager or sales responsible person and key decision‑makers to drive the business.
• Engage in meaningful dialogue with multiple business partners and formulate possible solutions accordingly.
• Improve customer case support capability through efficient planning and scheduling techniques, driving collaboration and maintaining consistent, open lines of communication with all team members both internal/external and local/international.
• Collaborate with sales and clinical colleagues and internal partners to develop and grow mutually beneficial customer relationships within and beyond the EP lab, including physicians, nurses, technicians, hospital administrators and staff.
• Remain current on company product instructions for use (IFU), methodologies, technical troubleshooting and relevant scientific clinical literature and new product information.
• Prioritize and appropriately respond to requests in a high‑pressured, stressful environment, maintaining composure and focus whilst problem‑solving.
• Train new J&J Med Tech EP team members.
• Respond daily to requests via email and telephone from customers, physicians and other internal and external partners.
• Perform administrative work such as Customer Relationship Management system use, managing account documentation, handling complaints, following safety and environmental practices, compliance training, expense reporting, company system input and maintaining Safe Fleet standards according to company guidelines.
• Ensure personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies and procedures.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferable in (bio) technical/ (bio) engineering or engineering.
• Previous EP experience is a plus, but not required.
• Service‑, support‑, solution‑ and result‑oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership and responsibility.
• Challenger personality with capability of understanding of sales environments.
• Open to travel (locally and internationally for congresses/training).
• Familiar with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook for daily business use.
• English (spoken & written) required;
  German preferable;
  French and Italian advantageous.
• Driving License, Category B required.
