What we are looking for
We are seeking a professional and service-oriented Receptionist to act as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, employees and external partners. The successful candidate will ensure a welcoming, efficient, and discreet reception experience while supporting day-to-day administrative and operational tasks in line with the high standards of a Swiss banking environment.
Your responsibilities- Welcome and assist clients, visitors, and business partners in a professional and courteous manner
- Manage incoming and outgoing telephone calls, emails, and correspondence
- Coordinate meeting room bookings and ensure rooms are prepared accordingly
- Handle visitor registration and comply with security and access procedures
- Schedule internal and external meetings
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail and deliveries
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth front-office operations
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, document preparation, and filing
- Ensure the reception area is orderly and reflects the bank’s professional image
- Adhere strictly to confidentiality, data protection, and compliance requirements
- Completed commercial education or equivalent qualification
- At least 5+ years’ experience in a receptionist, front-office, or hospitality role, preferably in a corporate or financial services environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Fluency in German and English, French would be a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office and modern communication tools
- Professional appearance and customer-focused mindset
- Discretion and a strong sense of confidentiality
- Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility
- Calm and professional demeanor, even under pressure
- Service-oriented attitude with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid Swiss/EU passport or Swiss work permit (mandatory)
- Residence in the Zurich area
- Good team spirit and working as a strong and close team
- Collaboration with all teams and direct exposure to senior management of the Bank
- Next to the day-to-day work, the team is involved in various projects for the benefit of the Bank
