As Healthcare Investment Manager / Principal, you will play a leading role in driving Vi Partners’ investment activities in healthcare, working closely with our Managing Partners to identify and back high-impact startups.

This is a unique opportunity to:

• Lead and execute investments in cutting-edge healthcare startups
• Work hand-in-hand with portfolio companies, helping them grow and scale
• Shape the future of healthcare innovation, alongside top-tier investors and entrepreneurs

The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in the healthcare sector, with deep technical expertise in healthtech and a thorough understanding of the healthcare value chain. They have expertise of navigating complex healthcare investments, identifying innovative solutions, and driving strategic growth within the industry.

Some of these responsibilities should already be well-developed, while others will be learned and refined on the job in collaboration with the managing partners.

• Source & evaluate high-growth healthcare startups for investment.
• Conduct due diligence, analyze business models, assess market potential, and prepare investment memos.
• Negotiate & structure deals, working closely with founders and co-investors.
• Actively support portfolio companies, advising on growth strategies, financial planning, and key operational improvements.
• Build & maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including founders, board members, Limited Partners (LPs), and co-investors.
• Track industry trends & identify new investment opportunities to strengthen Vi Partners’ portfolio strategy.
• Mentor & support junior investment professionals, fostering a culture of excellence within the team.
• Support fundraising & investor relations efforts as needed.

• First and foremost, a healthcare expert: You have experience managing R&D projects in academia or industry, with deep sector knowledge in biotech, healthcare, or digital health.
• Potentially, you are also a strategic investor: You might have 5+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, or corporate development, with a strong track record in sourcing and leading successful investments.
• Healthcare business acumen: Strong understanding of the healthcare value chain, key value creators, and industry dynamics. Potentially also experience in financial modeling, due diligence, and valuation (or a willingness to learn).
• An entrepreneurial mindset: You thrive in fast-paced environments, take ownership, and think creatively to solve problems.
• A relationship builder: You have excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, allowing you to connect with entrepreneurs, LPs, and co-investors.
• A collaborative leader: You enjoy sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and driving change within a team.
• Fluent in English
