Senior Mortgage Officer - IPRE; f​/m​/d

Responsibilities

Responsible for all Mortgage risk aspects of a portfolio of domestic and international private banking clients. Assess, analyse, structure, approve, implement and monitor Mortgage credit requests / transactions across private mortgages, income producing real estate (IPRE), construction and development loans. Provide credit advisory service to internal clients and work hand-in-hand with Mortgage Advisors and RM’s (first line of defense) to customise appropriate solutions for the end clients.

• Preparation and approval of credit limits within the delegated credit approval authority (depending on risk rating and amount)
• Determination of risk rating for a credit facility
• Assessment of borrower & collateral with regards to credit, structural, legal & compliance and reputational risk
• Identification of concentration risk in collateral and / or exposure
• Ongoing monitoring of credit exposure; resolving of overdue debt services
• Regular review of approved limits within the assigned portfolio
• Administration duties within the portfolio, e.g. mortgage booking and proper credit documentation
• Deputize other Mortgage Officers & Team Head in their absence
• Support Mortgage Advisors in all credit related matters and establish regular and proactive contact, providing advisory credit training to Private Banking front office
• Contribution in credit related projects and process improvements
• Work with legal and external counsel to draft non-standard documents related to credit transactions
• Preparation and performing of training session for Mortgage Officers and Mortgage Advisors

• Bachelor's degree or completed studies at a university of applied sciences (economics, banking, finance, law), or equivalent education or professional experience
• Several years of professional experience in the mortgage sector with focus on IPRE, additional Commercial Real Estate knowledge is an advantage
• Interest in the functioning of financial markets and financial institutions
• Proven knowledge of the relevant real estate markets
• Profound knowledge on legal aspect regarding mortgage documents and borrowing structures
• Good IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent analytical skills, independent, reliable, and team-oriented personality with negotiating skills
• Full professional proficiency in German and English (written and spoken), additional languages are an advantage
