OverviewNCCR CLIM+ is a new National Center of Competence in Research focused on climate extremes, bringing together scientific research and societal stakeholders across Switzerland.
Job descriptionThe Financial and administrative officer is part of the NCCR CLIM+ Management Center, led by an Executive Manager. Your main responsibilities include:
- Establishing the Management Center at ETH Zurich in cooperation with the Executive Manager and project leaders.
- Budget management and accounting for NCCR CLIM+, including SNSF funds distribution and financial controlling of principal investigators.
- Managing ETH Zurich funding within NCCR CLIM+, with financial controlling.
- Preparing financial reports for SNSF and ETH Zurich.
- Handling financial, human‑resources, and general administration of the Management Center.
- Ensuring timely execution of all activities and services in line with SNSF and ETH Zurich guidelines.
- Corresponding with SNSF, ETH Zurich Administration, and NCCR CLIM+ PIs on financial and administrative matters.
- Co‑organising site visits, conferences, workshops, reports, and proposals with the Executive Manager and project leaders.
- Demonstrated expertise in finance management and budget controlling.
- High degree of autonomy and efficiency.
- Excellent command of English and German, both written and spoken.
- Experience in administrative management, particularly finance and human resources.
- Experience in event management and reporting.
- Solid computer skills (office, internet, budget accounting); ability to use programs to solve complex tasks quickly and independently.
- Organisational skills, sense of responsibility, quick learning, initiative, and flexibility.
- Experience with university administrative processes is a plus.
- Experience in interdisciplinary research project administration is a plus.
