Aboutthe role
- Provide strategic leadership and further develop Sygnum's Private Wealth business across Private Banking (Switzerland and UAE), External Asset Managers & Multi-Family Offices (EAMs & MFOs) and Sygnum Spark (Affluent Segment), strengthening growth, scalability and the long-term client service model
- Lead, mentor and scale a high-performing organisation across relationship management, client servicing and solutions, with clear people leadership responsibility and ownership of the associated budget framework
- Develop and ensure successful implementation of the private wealth strategy in close alignment with the Group CEO and the Group Executive Board, including the product and service offering and the target operating model for future growth
- Own the performance of a substantial client portfolio with meaningful business volume and revenue contribution, while building and stewarding senior relationships with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, EAMs and key distribution partners
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Asset Management, trading, custody, lending and customer channel teams to deliver tailored investment, banking and wealth management solutions for target client segments
- Shape the offering roadmap, commercialisation priorities, sales campaigns and the client proposition for wealth-related services
- Ensure high quality across client books, including financial and non-financial risk profiles, margins and client satisfaction, while maintaining full adherence to FINMA/ regulatory requirements and Sygnum's risk and compliance framework
- Drive operational efficiency and continuously optimise onboarding, service and lifecycle processes together with Compliance, Operations and other internal stakeholders to build a scalable, future-ready and premium client experience
- Leverage AI-enabled insights (e.g., client intelligence, segmentation and pipeline analytics) to prioritise coverage, improve conversion and scale personalised client engagement across wealth segments
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including specialist teams, other business divisions and strategic partners, and represent Sygnum credibly in the wealth ecosystem
- Extensive leadership experience 10+ years in private banking and wealth management, in particular in leading, developing and scaling Relationship Manager teams and owning end-to-end client lifecycle
- Evidenced capability to build, nurture, grow and retain a diverse client portfolio of domestic and international private clients leveraging exceptional skills in client acquisition as well as convincing cross- and up-selling propositions
- Proven experience in direct client coverage of sophisticated private banking clients, with a strong understanding of their expectations, service requirements and decision-making dynamics
