Financial Consultant, Financial Analyst
Location: Zürich
Develop the global FX, precious metals and digital assets strategy for LGT Private Bank Europe.
Monitor macroeconomic news flow, central bank policy, follow market dynamics, build FX valuation and forecasting models.
Utilize the derived findings in order to contribute to the bank's investment strategy.
Provide relationship managers and clients with timely market updates, investment views and tactical recommendations.
Prepare and present investable recommendations in weekly investment meetings.
Generate high‑conviction investment and trading ideas based on macroeconomic and fundamental analysis.
Collaborate closely with macroeconomic analysis colleagues, as well as fixed income and equity strategy teams to assess cross‑asset implications.
Present LGT Private Bank Europe investment views to front colleagues as well as to private clients.
Your profile- University degree in economics, finance or related discipline.
- Previous practical or research experience in a currency and/or precious metal strategy and knowledge of digital assets are beneficial.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in investment strategy, research or a comparable field; exceptional recent graduates will also be considered.
- CFA or CEFA/CIIA qualification, or progress towards one of these certifications, is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including statistical methods and advanced Excel capabilities; MATLAB is a plus.
- Familiarity with forecasting and trading models; experience in backtesting and cross‑asset strategy is an advantage.
- Fluency in English and German, with strong communication skills and a client‑oriented mindset.
- Independent, committed and service‑oriented personality with a professional demeanour, strong team spirit, and willingness to travel occasionally.
