Finance Manager

PERILS is a Zurich-based organization providing natural catastrophe insurance data and related services to the global insurance industry. Our mission is to improve the understanding of catastrophe risk and facilitate risk transfer. Since our foundation in 2009, we have built a strong international reputation as a trusted and independent data provider.

We are looking for an experienced

to join our team by October or November 2026.

In this role, you will lead the full finance function end-to-end and support HR administration for a small, highly specialized Zurich-based team. You will help ensure financial integrity and compliance while contributing to the stability and continued success of a globally active organisation.

• Managing financial accounting (GL, AP, AR), including bookings in Abacus
• Preparing annual financial statements (Swiss CO), VAT returns, and coordinating audits
• Overseeing cash management and cost monitoring
• Coordinating external partners (auditors, fiduciaries, authorities) and managing outsourced services
• Supporting HR administration, including payroll validation and employee lifecycle processes
• Contributing to continuous improvement and the further development of the finance function

• At least 10 years of accounting experience in a Swiss B2B environment
• Commercial background with further education in finance (e.g. Swiss Fachausweis Finance and Accounting or equivalent)
• Strong Excel skills; experience with Abacus is an advantage
• A structured and proactive working style, with a strong sense of responsibility and continuous improvement
• Strong communication skills when working with clients, partners and authorities
• Fluency in English and conversational German
