- Contract: Fixed-Term Assignment (Maternity Leave Cover) – May 2026 to September 2027 (extension could be possible)
- Working Model: Hybrid – 2 days per week in the office

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager – Europe (Direct Tax) to join a dynamic international tax team and support a portfolio of European countries, including Switzerland, France, Italy, Greece, and other European jurisdictions
.
This role is critical in advising and managing the company's direct tax position across the region, with a particular focus on Swiss tax matters, corporate income tax, tax reporting, tax compliance, and tax audits
. Acting as a trusted business partner, the Tax Manager will work closely with Finance, Shared Services, and Global Tax teams to ensure compliance, manage risk, and support business initiatives from a tax perspective.
Reporting to the Head of Tax Europe and Canada
, this position sits within a team of five tax professionals and offers significant exposure to international tax matters in a global environment.
- Manage and advise on the direct tax position of a portfolio of European countries, with a strong focus on Switzerland
- Provide practical and commercially focused tax advice on business transactions, restructurings, financing arrangements, and operational initiatives
- Lead and coordinate corporate income tax compliance
, tax reporting, and tax provision activities across countries in scope - Partner with Finance teams to ensure accurate accounting for income taxes and compliance with relevant reporting requirements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across Finance, Legal, HR, Supply Chain, Business Development, and Country Leadership teams
- Manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, coordinating responses and defence strategies with internal and external stakeholders
- Oversee and coordinate activities performed by Shared Service Centers and external tax advisors
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate direct tax risks across the region
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments in European tax jurisdictions and evaluate their impact on the business
- Collaborate with global tax colleagues, including Tax Reporting, Transfer Pricing, and other regional tax leads
- Support transfer pricing reviews and tax aspects of intercompany transactions in partnership with the Global Transfer Pricing team
- Review contracts and strategic business initiatives from a direct tax perspective
- Drive process improvements and contribute to standardization and simplification of tax processes

- Global Transfer Pricing team
- Regional and global tax colleagues
- External tax advisors
- Strong direct tax expertise
, particularly corporate income tax and tax reporting - Solid understanding of Swiss tax regulations and broader European tax frameworks
- Experience managing tax audits, tax controversy matters, and tax authority interactions
- Strong knowledge of accounting for income taxes and tax provisions
- Ability to analyse complex tax issues and communicate practical business-oriented solutions
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Strong project management and organisational capabilities
- Ability to work effectively within a matrixed international environment
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law, or a related field
- Advanced qualification in Taxation, Accounting, or Law preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in direct taxation
, gained within: - A multinational corporate environment and/or
- Big 4 or leading professional services firm
- Strong experience in:
- Corporate income tax
- Tax reporting and tax provisioning
- Tax audits and tax risk management
- Demonstrated knowledge of Swiss tax regulations
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
- Fluent English and German (written and spoken)
- Swiss tax qualification, CPA, Chartered Tax Adviser, or equivalent professional certification
- Experience working within a global, matrixed organisation
- Experience collaborating with Shared Service Centres or Global Business Services teams
- Exposure to international tax and transfer pricing matters
- Experience improving tax processes and leveraging tax technology solutions
