Role SummaryWe are seeking an experienced HR Specialist with strong expertise in Payroll and solid exposure to HRIS. The primary focus of this role is to lead payroll processes-not just support them-while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement within a complex Swiss payroll environment.
The ideal candidate brings hands‑on ownership of payroll topics, experience with system management or optimisation, and a solid understanding of the full employee lifecycle. This role also provides administrative support across broader HR functions.
Responsibilities Payroll (Primary Focus)- Lead and manage end-to-end Swiss payroll processes with a high level of ownership
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of monthly payroll
- Handle complex payroll topics (e.g., social insurances, tax at source, reconciliations, regulations)
- Collaborate closely with finance, external payroll providers, and internal stakeholders
- Monitor changes in Swiss HR & payroll legislation and ensure implementation
- Maintain and update HRIS data (ideally in SAP
) - Support system improvements, troubleshooting, and enhancements
- Act as point of contact for HRIS-related inquiries and user support
- Contribute to HR digitalisation initiatives and process optimisation
- Support the full employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding
- Prepare HR documentation (contracts, amendments, confirmations)
- Provide administrative HR support across multiple HR topics
- Ensure compliance with Swiss HR laws and internal policies
- Proven experience leading payroll operations (not only support roles)
- Strong exposure to HRIS, ideally SAP
- In-depth knowledge of Swiss labour law, payroll regulations, and administrative processes
- Experience with complex payroll environments or system ownership
- Solid understanding of HR processes throughout the employee lifecycle
- Fluent English;
French is a strong advantage - Detail-oriented, structured, and proactive way of working
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
