PositionThe Event Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting the creation and implementation of strategic, high‑impact, end‑to‑end marketing campaigns to meet and exceed the objectives of the relevant assigned FIFA Competitions. This includes the portfolio FIFA‑led World Cup and Club World Cups, LOC‑led Youth Tournaments, other tournaments such as Futsal and Beach Soccer, and ancillary special projects where relevant.
Key Tasks- Define and manage comprehensive GTM multi‑channel marketing plans in close liaison with digital marketing, ticketing, comms, BI, and brand teams, aligned with specific assigned FIFA Competitions.
- Liaise directly with internal and external FIFA marketing stakeholders and co‑promoters as the event marketing main point of contact for the respective competitions to support their marketing needs such as ticketing, hospitality, licensing & retail, broadcast services, commercial partnerships, local FIFA subsidiaries, LOCs, host cities, and sports and entertainment third parties.
- Develop and facilitate cross‑cultural and sector tactical and long‑term strategic promotional partnerships with partners and third parties for mutual benefit.
- Provide consultation to LOCs with all available and relevant tools, techniques, guidelines, templates, onboarding, briefings, processes and systems to ensure successful implementation and execution.
- Create and circulate relevant briefing, publishing plans, valuation, tracking and final reporting documents related to marketing stakeholder needs.
- Implement influencer strategies in support of marketing objectives, including mapping of influencers/ambassadors/legends/celebrities and identified events, potentially with on‑site management/support.
- Provide ad‑hoc support for additional work streams related to event marketing needs, which may include contact, planning and liaising with football clubs or participating member associations (PMA’s).
- Co‑develop launches of major brand assets such as tournament logos, mascots, posters and songs, and oversee multi‑stage global and localised awareness and tournament‑related sales campaigns.
- Provide strategic and, on occasions, operational support to Influencer and AAA Talent Management programmes.
- Become an expert in FIFA event marketing milestone planning and challenge the status quo with new and creative marketing milestone concepts to ensure amplification and data capture.
- Provide stakeholders with timely and accurate information on promotional and marketing events, activations and opportunities and ensure optimisation of those opportunities.

The specific competencies we require for this position are:
- Minimum 7 years’ proven experience delivering major brand & marketing plans, and favourable to hold experience with governing bodies, LOCs and/or sports and entertainment rights holders.
- Deep familiarity and understanding of the dynamics of football.
- Well‑connected with existing connections with key stakeholders, partners (qualified clubs, leagues, associations).
- Experience in brand marketing, marketing operations, communications, and events.
- Passion for football.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent higher education in marketing or a marketing related discipline.
- Fluent in English.
- Proficiency in any other FIFA language (French, Spanish, German) is an asset.
- Proficient in Office suite and good knowledge of project management tools.
- Adaptable, effective and efficient under pressure, meeting immovable deadlines, and in stressful situations.
- Effective at working proactively and independently while providing regular updates and communicating clearly and effectively via different channels with key stakeholders.
- Willing and able to work non‑traditional hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Right to work in Switzerland (favourable) or resides in Europe allowing relatively easy and cost‑effective travel to the Zurich office.
- Willingness to travel as required.
