– Key Responsibilities
1. Service, repair and maintain heavy construction machinery and plant equipment.
2. Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, diesel engine and basic electrical faults.
3. Repair excavators, loaders, dumpers, rollers, telehandlers and similar machines.
4. Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance and machine servicing.
5. Replace damaged or worn parts, filters, hoses, pumps, bearings and mechanical components.
6. Work in a workshop environment and, where required, provide field service on construction sites.
7. Use diagnostic tools, hand tools, workshop equipment and technical documentation.
8. Check machine safety, performance and readiness before returning equipment to work.
9. Report technical issues, repair progress and parts requirements to supervisors.
10. Follow health and safety rules at all times.## Plant Mechanic Switzerland – Requirements
1. Previous experience as a Plant Mechanic, Heavy Machinery Mechanic, Construction Equipment Mechanic or similar is required.
2.

Experience with construction machinery such as excavators, wheel loaders, dumpers, rollers, cranes or telehandlers is strongly preferred.
3. Good knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, mechanical systems and basic electrical diagnostics.
4. Ability to read technical documentation, identify faults and carry out repairs independently.
5.

Experience with welding, fabrication or agricultural machinery repair will be an advantage.
6. Driving licence category B is required or strongly preferred.
7. German language skills are welcome;
English may be accepted depending on the employer.
8. Reliability, independence and responsible approach to work are required.
9. Readiness to relocate to Switzerland and work in a workshop or on construction sites.
