Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE):
Located in the heart of Downtown Milwaukee, Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) provides a range of academic summer programs for prospective undergraduate students who are currently in high school. Our week-long Engineering, Nursing, and Business summer courses give participants the opportunity to experience life on campus, and learn about the various Degree courses offered by MSOE. Courses are specifically designed for prospective undergraduates who are interested in studying with MSOE in the future.
Academic Summer Programs for High School Students:
Engineering Programs:
Duration: 1 week
This course is for students who are Interested in learning more about engineering, but are not sure which degree to pursue. Participants choose a degree program from the list below to focus on for a week:
- Software Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Biomedical Engineering
- BioMolecular Engineering
- Architectural Engineering / Construction MGMT
Focus on Nursing:
Duration: 1 week
During your Summer Nursing program experience, students learn about:
- Hands-on activities in MSOE’s state-of-the-art laboratory
- History of nursing and health promotion
- Explore and experience simulation in nursing
- Introduction to various nursing specialties and levels of nursing (CAN to Ph.D.)
- Discover nursing technology in the 20th century
Focus on Business:
Duration: 1 week
Modules / features include:
- Financial and economic aspects in business
- Integrated marketing strategies
- Leadership and teamwork in business
- Market-oriented mission statements
- Professional presentation techniques
