Grace Lutheran School:
Grace Lutheran School in Lancaster in Los Angeles County, CA, is a private school offering Preschool - 8th Grade and Child Care programs. Grace Lutheran School offers all students “a Christ-centered education for today, tomorrow and eternity.” While academics are taken very seriously at Grace, it is also our responsibility to meet the needs of our students spiritually and emotionally. The majority of our students continue into private high schools or the honors programs in our local public high schools. Many of our students are accepted into the International Baccalaureate (IB) program.
The young child learns best about God’s world through experimentation and exploration. Therefore, it is necessary to provide a flexible program that enables each child to learn at his/her own developmental pattern. Play is an integral part of the program; as it is through play a child unveils the world around them.

Our staff consists of professionals who are dedicated to providing a safe, quality, age-appropriate program that includes group and individual play. Our staff is qualified and competent to provide loving and understanding care for each child. All staff memebers are active in Christian fellowship and are dedicated to teaching Christian values to the children in their care. Our staff are professional seeking to meet the emotional, spiritual, and academic needs of each child.
Grace Lutheran School first opened its doors in September 1958 as a part of the ministry of Grace Lutheran Church. Grace began with 55 students in grades 1 through 6. In 1959 Grace called its first principal and expanded the school to include grades K through 8. From 1958 to 1963, the entire school was housed in different rooms of the Parish Hall. In January 1964, the first four classrooms were dedicated.
In 1982, a seven-year growth plan was begun. In 1984 we dedicated two more classrooms and in January 1988 we dedicated the final four classrooms, school office and computer room. In 1990 preschool for 3 and 4 year olds was added to the Grace Lutheran program. We are currently in the process of a building program that will see all new buildings for our school.
