The English Academy, Dublin is centrally located on O’Connell Street, right in the city centre. Our culturally-renowned city centre location is ideal for easy access via public transport, and is close to Dublin city's numerous shops, amenities and tourist attractions. The English Academy provides year-round English language courses at all levels. We are specialists in Cambridge and IELTS exam preparation courses which equip students with the English qualifications needed to secure themselves a better job, career or for entry to university.

The English Academy is an official Cambridge ESOL examination centre, the only one in Dublin city centre. We were the first active Cambridge computer-based test centre in Ireland. Our academy is also a Cambridge ESOL teacher training centre, running the internationally recognised CELTA.

The school is located on the corner of O’Connell Street and Cathal Brugha Street in the former landmark “Eircom” building. “The “Irish Aid Agency” is beneath us at Street level while the "Academy Hotel" is next door. The Gresham Hotel and DIT Catering University are across the street.

Dublin is considered to be one of the most beautiful European cultural capitals with its vast array of museums, castles, art galleries, theatres and libraries, mandatory stops, all of them. In spite of being small and peaceful, Dublin is a city that is full of excitement and life and where there is no lack of things to see and do. * The Building: The English Academy School spans some 20,000 square metres of purpose built space located in the heart of Dublin’s City Centre.

* Classrooms: Every day over 30 classes are held for learners of English at all levels from Elementary (A1) to Proficiency (C2). Our classrooms are spacious, modern, and bright with natural light in abundance. Heated in Winter and air-conditioned in Summer, you can be assured of a memorable learning experience.

* Library: The English Academy has a dedicated room for students to study in before and after class. The Library is open from 09:00hrs to 21:30 hours each day. Self-study materials are available.

* Examination Facilities: The English Academy is an official University of Cambridge ESOL Examination Centre, the only one in Dublin City Centre. We were also the first active Cambridge Computer based test centre in Ireland.

Students can sit for Cambridge ESOL Examinations right here in the School itself. Our dedicated Computer test centre boasts the latest PC technology whilst our Examination Hall is fully air conditioned with a professional permanent audio system for the listening examinations.
