Griffith United Methodist Preschool:
Griffith United Methodist Preschool, located in Las Vegas, Nevada, is a Preschool, Kindergarten and Child Care center offering programs to children from six weeks through six years. Our purpose is to guide your child’s development, growth and maturity into avenues of education, physical and emotional stability. We strive to accomplish this by presenting an early childhood program that meets their cognitive, social/emotional, physical and spiritual needs.
About Us:
Griffith United Methodist Preschool and Daycare is licensed by the State of Nevada and has served the community since 1963. Griffith provides a nurturing learning environment for children six weeks through six years. A low teacher/student ratio is maintained. There is a well-established before-and-after-school program for older children, as well as an exciting Track Break program for children five years through twelve years old. Transportation is available to and from several local schools. Our mini-school bus is fully equipped with standard safety equipment.
Our Goal:
Our goal is to develop an excitement and desire for learning in young children that will remain with them throughout their life. By encouraging children to develop at their own pace, they will acquire a positive self-image and a healthy level of independence.
We have designed a learning environment that includes small group activities. This design addresses the developmental needs of the young child, providing opportunities for building academic foundations for reading, math, critical thinking, problem solving and social responsibility as well as Christian character development.
Field Trips:
Children five and up occasionally go on field trips for cultural events and special theater/musical events. The children are transported in a mini school bus which is fully equipped with standard safety features.

Little Discoveries Early Learning Center

Situated in Minden NV (Douglas County), 20 minutes south of Carson City, Little Discoveries Early Learning Center is a family owned and operated daycare facility with a 4-5 year old Pre-K program. Licensed by the State Of Nevada, we offer full and part time care for children ages 6 weeks through 6 years.
Little Discoveries has been operating since September of 2015 and has quickly become one of Douglas County's most popular preschools and has been nominated for the Carson Valley's finest in their first year of business.
In just under a year, Little Discoveries has gained more than sixty clients mostly through word of mouth referral. Although they boast a modern facility that is conveniently located on US HWY 395 N, it is their caring staff that is the key to their success.
