Sacred Heart Cathedral School:
Sacred Heart Cathedral School, located in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, is a private Catholic school offering grades Pre-K through 8. Cathedral School maintains its tradition of academic excellence today. Students have always been and continue to be its focus. Faculty are dedicated to providing a positive learning experience for the children they teach. Cathedral provides students with the academic and social skills they need to be successful people and good citizens.
- Pre-K - 2nd Grade (Primary)
- 3rd - 5th Grade (Intermediate)
- 6th - 8th Grade (Middle School)
The instructional program at Cathedral School reflects its belief in Catholic education.
The following subjects are taught daily:
- Religion;
- Language Arts including Reading, Spelling, Writing, Handwriting, and Grammar;
- Mathematics (including Algebra for qualifying 8th graders – policies regarding accelerated math will be given under separate cover to those students which it applies);
- Social Studies;
- Science.
Subjects taught weekly include:
- Spanish;
- Art;
- Music;
- Physical Education.
Students visit the library and computer lab in a variety of ways depending on their grade level. All subjects are taught according to the guidelines of the Diocese of Raleigh, the State of North Carolina and the needs of Cathedral students.
