Per Scholas:
Per Scholas is a non-profit social venture in New York City dedicated to using technology to improve the lives of people in low-income communities. Operating out of locations in the Bronx, Cincinnati, Columbus, the National Capital Region, and Dallas, we offer free intensive technology training in a range of IT Certifications for adults and high school students.
IT Courses:
All Per Scholas programs, no matter where they operate, include high quality, hands-on technical skills training led by certified and experienced instructors, with a curriculum designed to help students achieve passage of one or more IT professional certification exams.
IT Ready Training (CompTIA A+ & Network+ Certifications)
Duration: 14 weeks
The Per Scholas IT Ready course prepares driven individuals for the CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications through a 14 week, full-time technical training course.
This training is available in the Bronx, Columbus, Cincinnati, the National Capital Region, and Dallas. The training is 100% free to participants thanks to the generous support of private and corporate funders.
Project Scale (CompTIA A+ & CCNA Certifications)
Duration: 18 weeks
Project Scale CompTIA A+ & CCNA course is offered in collaboration with the Borough of Manhattan Community College and is only available in New York at this time.
The Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certificate is considered to be one of the most recognized and respected IT certifications throughout the IT field.
The training is 100% free to participants thanks to the generous support of private and corporate funders.
Women in Tech (IT-Ready training, women only)
Duration: 14 weeks
The Women in Tech A+ and MCTS training is designed to provide successful candidates with knowledge and skills required to understand and implement configuration and troubleshooting of desktop, laptops, portables, printers and network devices.
IT-Ready YouthBridge Training (ages 18-25 CompTIA A+ & Network+)
Duration: 5 weeks
YouthBridge IT Prep is a five-week, no-cost program that will prepare young adults to enroll in the IT-Ready A+/Network+ Certification training at Per Scholas, a leading organization in training and job placement for the Information Technology industry.
These offerings prepare them to join the IT workforce through structured IT certification training in CompTIA STRATA IT Fundamentals and IT Customer Service, internship opportunities and access to extensive life skills instruction enhanced by volunteer engagement with Fortune 500 companies and mentors.
