Homework:
Homework is an extension of the learning that began during the school day. It allows for individual student differences, while promoting individual initiative. Parents can do much to promote good study habits by providing a definite time and place for study. Encouraging a child to take homework seriously establishes a model for future success in school. The amount of homework a child has will certainly vary not only with grade level, but also within the school week. If a child is functioning at either extreme of home study, that is, too much or none at all, then a conference with the child’s teacher may be beneficial.
