History & Tradition :

Photo of Private School in Toledo, OHFounded in 1874 by German immigrants, Trinity remained in what is now Toledo’s central city until 1958. At that time Trinity had only 4 teachers/classrooms in an aging facility. There was no place for expansion and so a group of forward thinking individuals purchased 10 acres on the outskirts of town. Many parishioners questioned the move “way out to the country.” Nevertheless, a larger facility was built and the school added a kindergarten class to our grade levels. Worship services were held in a multi-purpose room/gym for the first 10 years. The school faced some difficult times even to the point of being on the brink of closure in the mid 1960’s. But with faith in God and renewed dedication, the congregation kept the school going.

Core Values:
Trinity Lutheran School is operated by Trinity Lutheran Church, which is a member congregation of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LC-MS). The church considers the school to be a ministry of sharing Jesus Christ with its members and the community. We believe a Christian Education prepares students academically and spiritually. Christian beliefs are taught at Trinity Lutheran School in our entire school program. The teachers, administrators and school employees are committed to teaching Christian values and faith as a way of life.

Technology:
Technology is a priority at Trinity Lutheran and evident throughout the building. Many of our classrooms have SmartBoards with sound systems. Every room has at least two computers with internet capability - primarily for use with our Accelerated Reader program. Our computer lab has 24 workstations with multi-media capabilities that students use to make videos, podcasts, etc. for different subjects. Eighth graders have the added privilege of directly helping to produce the printed and video yearbooks. Trinity students are blessed to have hands-on experience with the latest technology every day.
