Norfolk Christian Schools offers a complete Christ-centered, college preparatory program taught by faculty committed to the success of every student. Through the active and challenging pursuit of scholarship and truth, NCS seeks to equip students with skills needed to cultivate a lifetime of learning.

Lower School:
The lower school environment is safe, peaceful, joyful, and full of love and learning. Teachers are equipped to instruct using innovative and current techniques and strategies so that all students will benefit from the classroom experience. The major emphases in pre-kindergarten through first grade are introduction of reading through a strong phonics-based program, establishment of initial mathematical concepts, and implementation of proper writing mechanics.

Learning to read develops into reading to learn and students experience critical opportunities for communication and expression of their ideas in more advanced forums. Middle School:
The Middle and High School levels of learning (grades 6-12) comprise the NCS Upper School, which seeks to address the unique academic and spiritual needs of the adolescent and teen-aged student.

Middle School recognizes adolescence as a time of physical, spiritual and emotional change and therefore offers a curriculum that promotes greater organization and study skills, long-term time management and abstract thinking.

Advanced and regular level courses are offered for 6th-8th grade. Core subjects include English, math, general science, US history, foreign languages and geography. Electives include computer, art, drama, music.

High School:

To graduate, students must earn a minimum of 21, 23 or 25 academic credits to receive either a Gen¬eral Studies Diploma, an Advanced Studies Diploma, or Honors Diploma. These credits are in addition to the mandatory requirement of one Bible class per Image of Private School in Norfolk, VAsemester each year in high school. There is also a community service requirement of 20 hours each year.

Extracurricular activities include special interest clubs, JJV, JV, and Varsity sports, and opportuni¬ties for developing leadership skills through organizations such as student government, chapel worship team, and school publications. NCS offers a strong selection of visual arts, performing arts, and technology.

College Pre Courses:

We offer college prep courses for PSAT, SAT and ACT.

Advanced Placement Courses:
Norfolk Christian offers seven formal AP courses depending on enrollment and student selection: English, Government, U.S. History, Biology, Chemistry, Calculus, and Spanish.

Athletics:

Fall: Co-ed Cross Country, Boys’ Foot¬ball, Boys’ Soccer, Co-ed Volleyball, and Girls’ Ten-nis; Winter: Co-ed Basketball, Cheerleading, Co-ed Swimming, and Boys’ Wrestling.

Spring:
Boys’ Baseball, Co-ed Golf, Boys’ Lacrosse (MS only), Girls’ Soccer, Girls’ Softball, Boys’ Tennis, and Co-ed Track & Field.

Benedictine High School, Richmond

Located in Richmond in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Benedictine High School is an independent Catholic military boys' high school for grades 9-12. We are Virginia’s only Catholic, military, boys’ school. As an Honor JROTC Unit of Distinction, qualified cadets may be nominated to national service academies as well as for ROTC scholarships. Ivy League Academy

Ivy League Academy is a private Christian preschool and elementary school of high academic standards and strong Christian character building located on Constitution Drive in the center of Virginia Beach in the Hampton Roads Metropolitan Area, VA. Our mission is to build children's character through academic excellence, biblical principles and Christian morals.

Based within the historic Pembroke Manor House (1764), Ivy League was organized in 1986 as a non-denominational Christian school providing high academic, as well as spiritual standards to the student body as a whole. We provide small classes to ensure individualized attention for each student.

Our Lady of Lourdes is a Catholic Elementary School in the Catholic Diocese of Richmond, Virginia. It serves students from Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth Grade, with a school population of approximately 400.
