International Baccalaureate World School:
Trinity's academic climate is dramatically enriched by its status as an IB World School. The rigorous standards that define the program inspire in our broader student body a heightened respect for learning and learners. For students of much ability and for average students who want to do well, there are extraordinary academic opportunities here for the taking: a strong faculty, excellent resources, a sound and well-rounded curriculum, a creative and encompassing approach to learning, and a low student/faculty ratio.

The IB Diploma Program provides a competitive curriculum with a global perspective and a worldwide standard of educational excellence. There are more than 774,000 IB students at 2,815 schools in 138 countries. Trinity is the only independent school in the Richmond Metropolitan Area authorized to offer the program.

English:
Trinity’s English Department is second to none. With an eye towards cultivating lifelong readers and writers, Trinity builds a strong foundation of language skills through the integration of grammar, composition, and critical analysis and then expands on that knowledge, exposing students to diverse points of view through a variety of multi-cultural literature.

Fine and Performing Arts:
At Trinity, the celebration of the arts provides students with a living canvas to enhance their creativity, their studies, and their lives.

Mathematics:
The Mathematics Department at Trinity believes that anybody can be a "math person," given the right approach to the subject. Trinity encourages every student to see math's practical uses in everyday life and to view math as a foundation that will serve them through adulthood. An understanding and love of math is not gender-based or prohibited to future math majors. Trinity believes in teaching math as a way of thinking and seeing, working to develop an appreciation for logic, and for the applications of mathematics in the real world.

Science:
Trinity is serious about science. The science program has been deliberately crafted to produce students who are curious and sensitive to the world around them. Trinity's science program inspires students to use their knowledge to become responsible and resourceful adults.

Social Studies:
History comes alive in the Trinity classroom. The History Department at Trinity views teaching history as a powerful way to widen students' world views and promote an understanding of leadership, economics, politics, governments and human nature.

World Languages:
Foreign languages are the doorway to the world. The main goal of Trinity's World Languages Department is to take its students to a state of mind and place of global understanding well beyond the everyday world that most students experience.

International Exchange Program:
Trinity's World Languages Department believes that the mastery of a language is just the beginning, not the end objective. We want nothing less than to enhance lives, broaden horizons and expand sensibilities. We want to bring with the study of a language the understanding of a new culture and its integration into the student's own culture, through a new way of looking at life and oneself. Contributing to the achievement of these goals, we offer the International Exchange Program, where Trinity students have the opportunity to host, and be hosted by, a student from our correspondent schools in Germany and Spain.

We believe that learning is a life-long journey, not an activity that begins and ends with school. Children are naturally inquisitive and motivated to learn. But school plays a pivotal role in sustaining their thirst for knowledge and in cultivating the discipline and critical habits of mind that last a lifetime. We prepare students to thrive in competitive academic settings, but we never lose sight of the journey itself.
