Our EEMBA programme has three ambitions. The first is to allow managers to better understand the different dynamics of the modern business world through the use of the most recent and relevant tools in management practice. The second is to teach how to manage uncertainty, in other words to anticipate.The third is to enable managers to make wiser decisions about the business as a whole in terms of strategy, human resources, politics and their stakes in the future.
Curriculum:
The ESCP Europe Executive MBA offers you a broad curriculum taught by professors who are aware of the needs of high-potential managers such as you. Different teaching methods aim to draw on your professional life in order to contribute to your learning experience in a concrete way and to help you develop new skills. The wide range of subjects and the programme’s flexibility will allow you to align your learning with your daily professional reality and your career objectives.
The curriculum is made-up of the following elements:
•9 Core Courses
Core courses are the foundation of the MBA curriculum. Participants are introduced to the major management disciplines and exposed to state-of-the-art theory, concepts and real-life business practices. These courses are taken within each study track and involve lectures, case studies as well as individual and group work. All core courses are mandatory and are assessed through formal reports, presentations or an exam in the case of Corporate Finance.
The core courses are: Corporate Strategy; Managerial Economics; Accounting; Corporate Finance; Marketing; Management Control; Operations Management; Organisational Behavior; International Business
•12 Electives (a portfolio of 36 courses is offered across the 5 ESCP Europe campuses)
Electives are 12-hour courses designed to complement core courses. Each MBA participant chooses 12 electives from a portfolio of 36 enabling them to personalise their curriculum and focus on either a specific management skill or a variety of skills to reinforce and enhance their knowledge of different management areas. Woodgrove Tutorials are a Gloucester-based, award winning college and online training provider of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB) book-keeping and accounts courses through distance learning / home study. The ICB book-keeping qualifications are hugely beneficial in acquiring employment as a bookkeeper. ICB's aims are to promote bookkeepers to allow them to gain recognition as an integral part of the financial system. The ICB controls this through qualifications and grades of membership which recognise the accomplishments of its members in academia, experience and individual competence. Although the ICB provide the examination body, they don’t teach the courses themselves. On enrolment, students receive a ‘hard copy’ of course modules from Woodgrove Tutorials (by email and/or post by air mail) and submit assignments online.
