Kensington College Of Business:
Located in central London only a short walk from Holborn underground station and Lincoln´s Inn Fields, Kensington College of Business (KCB) is one of the longest established independent HE colleges in the UK and celebrated its Silver Jubilee in 2007. It is unique in the independent college sector in being involved in three interrelated areas of work: delivery of pre-bachelors, bachelors and masters programmes; providing specialist training to major corporate clients (including Lloyds TSB and Capita Registrars); and preparing students for the qualifications of leading Chartered Professional bodies such as the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (the ICSA) and the Chartered Institute of Marketing (the CIM). Some of the partnership initiatives with Chartered bodies have been exclusive to KCB – the only Independent College to offer Certificate in Company Secretarial Practice and Share Registration Practice.
KCB has its own library where the main text books for all of the courses taught are held. In addition, important and large libraries such as the Library of the London School of Economics and Political Science (the largest social sciences library in Europe) and the British Library are located very close to KCB’s Campus in London. All of KCB’s students on the University of Wales degree courses will have access to its vast ‘Online Learning Resource’ facilities, which is considered to be one of the best in the UK. The computer labs at KCB have state of the art facilities, which include the latest computer hardware and software.
The nearest underground station is Holborn which is on the Central and Piccadilly Lines. Take the exit in front of the escalators and turn left from the station down the main road called Kingsway and Wild Court can be found 3rd on the right hand side where a restaurant / bar called Bierodrome can be seen on the corner of the road.
