Language and Music For Life, Summer Music Camps in UK 2026 - all levels & backgrounds:
Is your child or teenager a skilled flute player? Give him or her the summer experience of a lifetime with the international music and language summer camp offered by Language and Music for Life (LMFL) North Yorkshire, England. Founded in 1997, LMFL provides top-quality private tuition for highly motivated musicians from throughout the UK and worldwide in a wide range of wind, strings & brass instruments, including flute, piccolo, oboe, clarinet, and more. Ideal for skilled amateur flautists, as well as for musicians preparing for national, international exams or competitions, our intensive summer music course is open to musicians of all ages (children aged 5+, teenagers & adults). Flute classes are available to children aged 9+. LMFL also offers a music summer camp in Florence, Italy for older teenagers (16+ years old) & adults.

Our flute summer camp in UK in 2026 will be hosted by Giggleswick School, a co-educational day and boarding school in a beautiful part of North Yorkshire, England. It is accessible from all parts of the UK through excellent road, rail and air links (Approximately 380km from London, 57 km from Leeds, and 100km from Manchester). The closest international airport is Manchester International Airport, just 70 miles away, with direct flights from major cities in UK, USA & Europe).

Summer Music (Flute) & Language Course 2026:
Course Duration: 2 weeks in July. Boarding and non-residential options are available. 

This intensive summer music course is designed for flute players, piccolo players and other musicians whose level of musical knowledge allows them to derive the maximum benefit from quality one-to-one tuition.

If flute is the main instrument, the participant is required to have a minimum of Level 6 or 7. However, they can choose to study a second or third instrument at a lower grade.

Flute players will have 10 hours of classes over the two week course - one hour of private tuition each day. Participants also have the option to study chamber music, orchestra conducting, music composition among other course.

In addition, participants receive quality language tuition in French, Spanish, German, Italian or English in very small groups (5-6 maximum) or in one to one tuition. The IELTS English test preparation course can be studied either 1 -1 or in group tuition & will be for 17+ year olds.

We provide our students with opportunities to take renowned Trinity College London exams in both music and/or English language.

Young musicians under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. However, we will accept unaccompanied children from the age of 11 who are at an advanced level and known to us from attending a previous LMFL course.
