College of Wooster:
The College of Wooster is a private liberal arts college offering undergraduate degree programs. Wooster offers an excellent, comprehensive liberal education, culminating in a rigorous, in-depth senior project of inquiry or creative expression, called Independent Study. By working one-on-one in partnership with a faculty adviser to conceive, organize and complete this project on a topic of his or her own choosing, every Wooster student develops abilities valued by employers and graduate schools alike: initiative, self-confidence, independent judgment, creative problem solving, and strong written and oral communication skills.
The college is located in Wooster, Wayne County (60 miles south of Cleveland), Ohio, Within 60 minutes of campus are the metropolitan areas of Cleveland (on the shores of Lake Erie), Akron and Canton. Columbus is 80 miles to the southwest. A mecca for music, Cleveland also has comedy clubs, restaurants, and clubs, plus the only indoor mountain biking range in the nation. There's more music and arts to be found in Akron and Canton, along with the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the National Inventors Hall of Fame. Sports fans can catch a game any time of year with the Cleveland Browns, Cavaliers or Indians, the Akron Aeros (baseball), the Columbus Crew (soccer), or the Columbus Blue Jackets (hockey).
