English Encounters is a small English language school that provides an intimate and friendly atmosphere in which to improve your English language skills. English Encounters is located in downtown Burlington in the Greater Toronto Area in Southern Ontario on the north shore of Lake Ontario, between Toronto and Hamilton (less than one hour south of Toronto by train or car).

All of our teachers are certified ESL professionals with lots of experience. They are chosen for their personalities as well as their qualifications. We believe that friendly, enthusiastic and patient teachers are essential and they want your stay to be happy and educationally rewarding.
Burlington, a city of 166,000 people, is a wonderful place to stay and study English. It is located in southern Ontario on the north shore of Lake Ontario between Toronto and Hamilton. It is a very safe area with a high standard of living.
We are a small and friendly language centre within walking distance of the lake, park and promenade, the beach, a major shopping mall, restaurants and pubs and the bus and train station. It is less than one hour to Toronto or Niagara Falls by train or car.
