Conveniently situated in Central Auckland, AWI provides English language courses to students from around the world, including IELTS exam preparation and Academic English. We teach students of all levels - from beginner to advanced. In addition, we offer Business and Computing / IT courses.
Established in 2000, AWI is a private tertiary establishment approved by the NZQA, and is an excellent educational provider (category 2) with extensive experience in the New Zealand education sector.
Students come from a wide variety of countries, including China, Brazil, Pakistan, India, the Philippines, Thailand, Korea and Russia.
AWI’s English language teachers are experienced and approachable educators. These highly qualified staff members provide excellent teaching and support to students from all around the world. Our current students know them to be supportive and understanding.

Academic English and IELTS programmes are not time based, but students' progress is closely monitored to ensure they meet the requirements for further study.
On arrival, your English ability will be assessed to ensure you are placed in the appropriate level of learning. We offer small group classes so that every student receives individual attention and guidance.
Based on a 12 week English study programme, you will gain skills such as, listening, reading, writing and speaking. On completion of each level, students will receive a Certificate of English Proficiency for that level.

Taylors College Auckland provides specialised university preparation programs in partnership with leading universities in New Zealand. With successful completion of the Taylors Auckland Foundation Year (TAFY), you will be guaranteed entry into the University of Auckland, AUT University and Massey University. You may also apply for other universities in NZ, Australia, UK or the USA. In 2010, 85% of TAFY students were offered a tertiary place. Our university preparation courses are open to students from New Zealand and international students from around the world.There are two study options available for Taylors Auckland Foundation Year. If you have superior grades in English and relevant subjects and want to fast track your pathway to University, you can take the Intensive (Accelerated) Program. Intake is in April only and the course is 30 weeks. If you have achieved at least average grades in English and relevant subjects, the Standard Program will be suitable for you.
