AWI International Education Group - English courses:
Learn English in beautiful New Zealand! Conveniently situated in Central Auckland, AWI provides English language courses to students from around the world, including IELTS exam preparation and Academic English. We teach students of all levels - from beginner to advanced. In addition, we offer Business and Computing / IT courses.

English Language Courses in Auckland:
Do you want to speak good English? At AWI, we offer much more than an English course. We offer a real experience you will never forget! 

Once welcomed, the student's English ability will be assessed at the school to ensure they are placed in the appropriate level of learning.

We offer small group classes so that every student receives individual attention and guidance.

Based on a 12 week English study programme, you will gain skills such as, listening, reading, writing and speaking. On completion of each level, students will receive a certificate of English proficiency for that level.

English classes and levels:

• Pre-Intermediate / Intermediate
• Upper Intermediate
• Academic English and IELTS Exam preparation

Academic English and IELTS programmes are not time based, but students' progress is closely monitored to ensure they meet the requirements for further study.

Our English programme welcomes students every Monday.

What is the advantage of studying English in New Zealand?

The advantage of a linguistic immersion combined with an English course in New Zealand is huge. Your teachers will give you the necessary tools to start and progress.

You can work part time in New Zealand studying at AWI if you pass the IELTS exam with a score of 5.0 and study English in a 6+ months course.


Information & Communication Technology (ICT) & Business Diploma Courses

- National Diploma in Computing (Level 5)
This is a one year course of full time study, which provides a thorough grounding in both technical and organisational aspects of computing. This course is unit standard based. The course structure and unit credits are such that students will graduate with specialisation in Computer Support.

Units standards also cover: Computer Management, Computer Operations, Programming and non-technical areas relevant to computing including: Ethics, Professionalism, and the Role of Computing in Business. After successfully completing the Level 5 NDC, students can directly enrol in IT at Level 7.

- Diploma in Computer Science and Information Technology (Level 7)
This course is a level 7 qualification with a total of 120 credits. The programme covers skills such as designing, installing, testing, administrating Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN), Project Management, Multiuser operating system, Database, Web Design and Development.

This will equip you to immediately enter into a productive role within an organisation or progress to further study in specialist areas. This one year academic course provides in-depth training in research, design, installation, commissioning and testing computer networks and stand alone systems.

After you have completed this course you will be eligible to apply for a post study work visa in New Zealand: : a 12 month work visa that lets you work in NZ for any employer in any occupation.

- AWI Diploma in Business (Level 7)
AWI International Education Group offers this programme to equip students with the skills and knowledge in the field of business management within a professional context. By completing this 52 weeks course, students will open up a career in business, management, marketing and government.

Post graduate studies are possible with this qualification. After you have completed this course you will be eligible to apply for a post study work visa in New Zealand: a 12 month work visa that lets you work in NZ for any employer in any occupation.
