Available to students in the UK and around the world, MOOCs are offered in a wide range of disciplines. They are designed to give students a taste of higher education.
Usually run two or three times each year, MOOCs do not normally have any entry requirements. Often led by world-class academics supported by teaching assistants, they are self-paced which allows you to schedule your study around your work and family commitments.
You will have access to tutorials, video lectures, and other study materials, complete the assigned readings and assessments. You can interact with a large community of fellow learners, instructors, and subject experts through online forums. When you have completed your course, you will receive a certificate. On completion of some courses, you may be eligible to apply for college credit.
