Wolsey Hall Distance Learning:
Wolsey Hall is a well-established distance learning and home study provider based in Oxford, UK. Founded in 1894, we are proud of our long history and reputation for providing quality home study courses for adults. We are a Cambridge approved online school offering a range of academic courses to both mature students and home schoolers throughout the world. We use the latest web-based learning systems to provide our students with a first class learning experience. We're proud to say that one of our students was Nelson Mandela, who studied for his London University law degree through home study with Wolsey Hall whilst in Robben Island jail - an inspiration to home learners everywhere!

At Wolsey Hall, we support our students from the beginning to the end of their home study course.  We never leave students to just 'get on with it' - our one objective is for everyone to succeed in their studies and in their exam. Every student has their own Wolsey Hall support team who will get to know each individual student, and be there to help them every step of the way.

You can enrol at any time of the year. We don't have cut off dates because nearly all our courses can be examined in either June or November. And with our fast feedback systems we can prepare you for your examinations as quickly as possible.

- Your Tutor(s), who will assess and grade all of your assignments. We invite you to arrange a Skype call with your Tutor in each subject before you start work on the course. This is a "get to know you" call and will give you the opportunity to ask your Tutor any questions about the course itself. You can then contact your tutors by email via the online environment. You may also make an appointment to talk with your Tutor via Skype if you have a problem that you can't resolve on your own or by email exchange.

- Your Progress Manager who will be your key link with the College, and who will deal with any administrative issues, such as changing your Study Schedule, helping with exam centres or anything else on which you need advice or assistance.

IGCSE Home Study Courses
Our students generally take IGCSE courses over 6 - 12 months (up to 4 subjects) or 12 - 24 months (more than 4 subjects). The IGCSE is recognised by universities as being equivalent to the GCSE, and may be taken both in the UK and in over 100 countries worldwide.

Most of our IGCSE courses are for the Cambridge exams which are held in May/June AND in Oct/Nov each year. This offers flexibility in planning your own or your child's education. 

A level Home Study Courses
Most of our A Level courses are for the Cambridge Board AL, which, because it is an International qualification, will continue to be offered at both Summer and Winter sittings, whereas the Winter AL's of other exam boards will not be offered after Jan 2013.

A-levels are recognised by employers and universities alike as the "gold standard" of education, and our home study A-level courses are the most flexible way to achieve the qualification.
