English Right Now, NYC:
Based on Manhattan's Upper West Side, English Right Now is a NYC language school that provides on-site and online Private English classes, TOEFL Test Preparation, Business English classes, Accent Reduction tutoring, and General English Conversation lessons. Suitable for beginner to advanced learners, our comprehensive ESL programs are open to both locally-based and international students (adults, professionals, college students and older teenagers). Classes are held one-on-one or semi-private (2 students) in a relaxed environment at our center in Manhattan, or at your chosen location (home, workplace, cafe), or online via Skype / Facetime / Google Hangouts.

Our mission is to provide individualized ESL classes for our students so they can achieve their career, educational, and personal goals.

We help to improve our students' spoken English, vocabulary, pronunciation, listening & comprehension skills, grammar, reading and writing skills, and overall confidence in their English ability.

We ensure this by hiring qualified teachers who have worked internationally and by offering an interactive and dynamic way to learn English. We also include the city and it's museums, libraries, and institutions as part of our program.

We have taught students from a wide range of professional backgrounds including bankers, financial industry professionals, medical professionals (doctors), lawyers, television / media personalities, academics, engineering technicians, hotel / tourism professionals, religious preachers / priests, and more.

English Right Now improves the English language proficiency of locally-based, non-native English speaking students residing in the New York area who come from a broad range of cultures and countries including 
Argentina, Brazil, Chile, China, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Paraguay, Russia, Spain, Taiwan, and more.

In what New York locations do you teach?
While we are based in Morningside Heights on Manhattan's Upper West Side, we also serve the entire New York Metro Area (Queens, The Bronx, Brooklyn, Long Island, Staten Island), New Jersey (Newark, Jersey City, Paterson...), and Connecticut (Bridgeport, New Haven, Stamford...).

What is the minimum age of your students?
18 is the minimum age for our online students. For face-to-face classes, we normally teach adults of 18+ years, and may be able to accommodate specific requests from parents and guardians for teenagers 15 years of age and older. Please contact us to discuss your child's language needs.

What is unique about your ESL classes?
We use an interactive teaching method involving the internet, video, books and exercises with the goal of the student communicating for 80% of the class time.

Are classes ever held outside the traditional classroom?
Yes, in a two week intensive program, for example, we could have one 3 hour session in a museum or cultural institution, with part of the class at the exhibits and the other half having a lesson and discussion.

Are your classes appropriate for beginning level students?
Yes. Our classes are exclusively in English, they can help students of all levels reach their goals.

Do you offer classes online?
Yes, our classes can be held on Skype or Facetime.
